Debbie Blankfort, Broker-Owner, takes the helm.

From the day Debbie came to Baer & McIntosh, over fifteen years ago, her focus and enthusiasm has never wavered.

Debbies professional career began at an early age when she broke ground and opened up the first Rent-A-Wreck auto rental franchise in West Nyack, with eleven cars ("..and they werent wrecks.. she says!")  She grew the fleet to well over 100 vehicles with high utilization, never failing to smile at a customer or wish them a happy birthday, whenever that day was near. Her entrepreneurial experience didn't stop there. Debbie built a magnificent showroom of classic automobiles and two new car franchises, for which she was the dealer principal.

Many years later, after completing a significant commercial real estate transaction, Debbie got the "bug."  She was immediately drawn to Baer & McIntosh for their reputation of integrity and style, to say nothing of their river town base and the "Special Homes for Special People" slogan.  It became an immediate and natural fit.

While being a top producer, Debbie and her husband raised two children.  One an actor turned musician and song writer, the other forming his own record label and company.

As the broker-owner of Baer & McIntosh, Debbie plans to use creativity, energy and her expertise in further building and expanding the business, which in particular means devoting her passions for what she does best, to agents, associates and clients alike. "We want to grow our business with truly exceptional people, who definitely possess the qualities of integrity, intelligence, and a strong work ethic.  We have some wonderful people, with positive personalities to match, who will maintain that standard as we continue to grow." 

Debbie makes it a habit to start every morning with a fresh green juice (called the "millionaire" drink), followed by a visit to her gym with a thorough workout, that she says, is where her energy and enthusiasm begins to brew. Her day ends with an evening session of hot yoga. If there is any time left over in her week, she might be attending raw food seminars, dehydrating kale, or in the studio listening to her son's future "hits." Or at the very least, secluded in her organic kitchen, she and her husband are preparing a special but simple dinner using her dehydrators and Vita-Mix, enjoying family and friends.

Debbie's other passion is her equestrian lifestyle. When she has the time, she is on her horse. Dressage and jumping require confidence, trust and two minds working as one. She brings the same skill to all her real estate transactions. She loves to win. Every day for Debbie is very rewarding running the purple logo with the blue ribbon team.
